Google provides a free product where you can create and customize your personal complimentary Android app. One of the best feature of this service is you do not even have to own a cell phone! You can certainly utilize your Android phone to assist in creating the app but Google provides a free emulator which permits you to develop your App. App creation is available on a majority of platforms including Macintosh, Linux and Windows XP. Virtually anybody can build an Android App but some downloading and a little bit of patience will be required in order to do so. Log on to the Google’s Android App Page

Set Up Your Computer

Please Note: this guide is solely for using the emulator to build an android app. The emulator app that was downloaded and taken out will be saved automatically under: C:\Program Files\AppInventor.
